Alexandra Bowling Club is celebrating its Centenerary Labour weekend 2009. The club was founded in August 1909 with its first president being Henry Schaumann. It has gone from strength to strength and has changed premises to now be located with a beautiful 2 green complex up at Molyneux Park on the Northern end of Centennial Avenue on the state Highway to Queenstown and Wanaka. The celebrations will commence on Friday 23rd October and be over the Saturday and Sunday 24th & 25th October 2009. We need names and addresses of past members and to that end if you can help us please let us know.
Our Club has just completed its best ever season and we feel sure that this will create positive mood to take us into the Centenary Celebrations in October.
